1967 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible (Red with black top)
(VIN 123677L123138 ) is a well-maintained car with NO reproduction body
parts and has nice paint.
The NADA books this car from average condition - $24,030
to Good condition of $44,460. There are some extras with this car. Bring ALL
offers I am moving overseas and this car will sell.
This car was in all of the first year of Dinners, Drive-ins and Dive, a
TV show on the food network. All of the filming of my car was here in San
Diego and inserted into the show as if it were in other states. I have a
signed scripted thanking me for the use of my car and a picture of Guy (the
star) and myself that will go with the car. I have a heap of receipts dating
back but not all of them. This has been my part time driving car and I
really never meant to sell it. There are very few miles showing on the car
but that is because it just rolled past the 0 K mile mark. There area
actually 203,000 and I rebuilt the engine not to long ago (though it didn’t
need it, I just wanted to keep it running fresh)
The car was/is (custom ordered and delivered in November of 1966) an
original 250, 6 cylinder with a 4-speed transmission. . The air filter,
wheels and front seats are not original. The engine runs strong and someone
with more time then I can make it run very fast. I personally would rather
get the 19-22 miles per gallon. I had the engine completely gone over a few
years back and had everything brought back up to factory specs. I would call
it a complete rebuild but I’m not sure on the technical meaning of that so
to be safe, I’ll just say I spent just under $1,300 on the work. I believe
it is a matching numbers car, but again, you’ll have to tell me what to show
to prove that. The placard under the hood is still there and I have taken a
picture of it. I have owned this car since 43,000 original miles and since
1985. It’s ready to drive from San Diego to New York or beyond. There are NO
issues with it ? it will work great for many years. This is a no issues
driver that turns heads every time I drive it.
